My Story
I was backpacking out in Central Europe with friends in September 2006 on a whistle stop tour through the region, intending to stop in Montenegro for only two days. However, on arrival in the country I was inspired by its undiscovered beauty – the mountains the sea all within easy reach - and one trip to an estate agent later I had to get a flight on to Belgrade to catch up with my friends…..
Villa Rosa was the first house I saw (first house I’ve ever viewed!!) and within 36 hours it was mine!!! It was certainly an action packed few hours involving locating a local lawyer, going to court to sign over power of attorney and then persuading the owner that the 300 Euros from the cash point would be enough to keep the property off the market until I returned home.
Equipping the villa has been a real learning experience and adventure, not always easy but well worth the effort and made much easier by the local people who have provided invaluable help and advice. Anyway, I hope all that come and visit Villa Rosa will appreciate the enthusiasm and effort which has gone into equipping her and enjoy their time there as much as I always do.
